Week of 5/25/20Dear families;

We had so much fun learning about recycling! Make sure to recycle paper, plastic, glass and aluminum so that we can keep our world clean and healthy. This week we will be learning about “Insects”. Get ready for some nature walks and be on the lookout for different insects. Continue to take care of what you planted and continue to update us on how everything is growing.

Discuss that a fly is an insect because it has a head, thorax, abdomen, legs, antennae and wings and an earthworm is not an insect because it does not have those body parts. Draw the fly and if you like practice labeling the body parts or just reviewing the names of the body parts.

Letter- Trace letter “Bb” using shaving, rice and/or paper.

Mathematics: Create a caterpillar using recycled plastic caps or other circular materials and your favorite number. Choose a number, find that number of caps and design your caterpillar. You can also create patterns while coloring the plastic caps. Practice counting the caps and the caterpillar’s legs.

Dibuja una mosca y práctica nombrando y describiendo las partes de su cuerpo. Letras- Traza la letra “B” utilizando crema de rasurar, arroz or papel.

Matemáticas: Crea una oruga utilizando tapas de plástico recicladas o cualquier otro material circular y tu número favorito. Escoge un numero, encuentra ese número de tapas y diseña tu oruga.
