A skill used in lots of games and developing our Coordination & Determination. If you have a larger soft ball this will be ideal. If like me, you don’t have a ball you could use a pillowcase with socks inside or a teddy to throw and catch with.

Check out This is PE’s video https://youtu.be/NDZhgfrmogAOr follow Mrs Martin’s instructions Keep your eye on the ball Have ready hands Aim at your partners chest Make 10, 15 or 20 passes without dropping.Add other challenges, throw a little to the side of your partner, throw a little higher. With a smaller sock ball try catching with just one hand.

JumpingA move used in many PE activities developing balance & control and coordination & fluency. You can use lots of socks to jump on or over jumping in different combinations.

Have bendy or soft knees Do Hopping, Leaping, Jumping 2 feet to 2 feet and Hopscotch.Check out This is PE’s video for more ideas https://youtu.be/cRjO1IGwbLo

Sportshall Athletics – Vertical jump

Working on developing balance and coordination the vertical jump is the highest jump you can make.

You will need blu-tac, some tape, stickers or post-it notes, use this to first mark how high you can stretch.

Use bendy knees Swingy arms Jump as high as you can

Mark your jump with another marker.

You will need a ruler or tape measure to measure the distance between where you can stretch to how high you jumped.

Who in your family can make the best jump?

WalkingIf you can get outside for a good walk every day that is brilliant! I still love these Walks, there are lots of different ones and are great to get you moving or keep you moving indoors when you are stuck inside. I do at least one every day and have got lots of my friends and family doing them too. This one is with Nadiya - www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMw733XcUTM

NHS Guided relaxationThis guided relaxation is great at any time of the day but helps me to sleep if I use it at bedtime.www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUQoflmFQpw&feature=youtu.be

Cosmic YogaLots of great stories to stretch and balance.https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga

Try – Moana themed yoga: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y3gCrL_XIM

Yoga posesTry some of the different Yoga poses I’ve added below. If you have dice you could throw 1 or 2 to decide which pose to do then challenge yourself to hold each pose for 20-30 seconds.
