You can search journals and libraries worldwide

You can search a wealth of online resources including: ProQuest Religion,EBSCO Religion and PhilosophyDirectory of Open Access Journals Gale Religion and Philosophy

And all this from the library or even your own home!!! All you need is your computer or other electronic device and internet access!

Now that you have boarded the ARK, the discovery layer will open up a new

world for you….

Steps to follow:

Step 1: Login to ARK with your email address and password.

Step 2: At the top of the “ARK: My home” page, click on

LIBRARIES & RESOURCES

You will then see the following options:

College LibraryMCD CatalogueDiscovery Layer

About the Libraries

The College Library is the library of your home college

The MCD Catalogue is also known as MCDcat providing access to the catalogues of all the University of Divinity College libraries

The Discovery Layer provides access to Libraries Worldwide, online resources including: ProQuest Religion, EBSCO Religion and Philosophy, and Gale Religion and Philosophy.

About the libraries guides you back to the University of Divinity website home page which will allow you to visit each individual UD College.

Here is an example of the process for finding an article through the EBSCO online resource using the discovery layer:

Step One: Login to ARK and click on Libraries & Resources

Step Two: Click on the Discovery Layer option

Step Three: Click on the “University of Divinity Library” heading in the top left hand corner of the screen

Step Four: Choose “A-Z Journal List”4 | P a g e

Step Five: Choose “C” in the box that appears for the “A – Z Journal List”

Step Six: From the options choose “Catholic Biblical Quarterly” in the box that appears of “C” Journals.

Step Seven: From the publication year options choose 2012, Vol 74 Issue 4 – October 2012

Step Eight: From the articles listed in this Journal select: “When Does Translation Become Exegesis? Exodus 24:9-11 in the Masoretic Text and the Septuagint.
