Pax Christi season 2019-2020 starts in September, with a focus on the theme of Racism, which is one of the main themes of Pax Christi USA for this year, too. Always on 4th Sundays. On Sept 22, Bill Lange will lead us in a discussion about St. Benedict the Moor CHURCH, and specifically about the symbolism of art found within the church, why this art was chosen by the parishioners of St. Benedict the Moor Parish when the church was built in 1923. David Ingvolstad, who was the artist who restored the art when the parish was remodeled almost 20 years ago, will join us to speak about the art, too. Bill will be drawing upon the work of Delores Williams, author of St. Benedict the Moor: A Legacy Revisited. If anyone would like a copy of this book please let Jackie Haessly know.
