Be sure to sign up for the February KeenAger’s Luncheon. There will be table games and fellowship, beginning at 10:00 AM. Lunch will be served at 11:30 AM followed by a short presentation at noon. You can sign up for the luncheon at the counter in the foyer.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER TRAININGFEBRUARY 10 11:45 AM – 1:30 PM

Our first Adult Sunday School quarterly training for the new year is February 10, 2019, led by the Executive Editor of the Explore the Bible, Bible studies.  He will help us to better understand why our groups exist and why we do what we do as both teachers and leaders. This training is for Adult Sunday School teachers only. Contact Bro. Josh for any additional information.

GAME NIGHTFEBRUARY 14 6:00 PM

Game Night happens the second Thursday of each month. We meet in the fellowship hall for food, fellowship and fun! Everyone is invited - no signup is required! Just show up with an appetizer or dessert to share and your favorite board or card game. We hope to see you there.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DAYFEBRUARY 16 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Each year, we set aside a time for the children of our church to get involved, whether in our community or in our church, through a day of service. The children of the Wednesday night missions classes will meet here at the church the morning of Feb. 16. They will be assisting the Gray Army with a few tasks around the church. There will be a small breakfast snack provided upon arrival. Parents are required to stay with their children. There is a possibility that you & your child will get dirty, please dress appropriately.

DEACON SUGGESTIONSThe church deacon body needs three additional members. A list of deacon expectations is available on the counter in the church foyer. If you would like to suggest someone for consideration, please write their name on the back of one of the white cards in the pews with the word “deacon suggestion” and place it in the offering plate.

WEDNESDAY EVENING MEALSPlease be sure you are signing up for the Wednesday evening meals by Monday at 5:00 PM. These are catered meals and a head count is imperative. You may pay when you arrive for the meal.

Join us in the Fellowship Hall this evening for homemade chili and cornbread, followed by our quarterly church business meeting.

DISASTER RELIEF TRAININGFEBRUARY 8 & 9

First Baptist Church will be hosting the Texas Baptist Men the second weekend in February for a two day Disaster Relief training program. Anyone 18+ can sign up for the training. There will be a basic training from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday night and at 8:30 AM on Saturday you can choose from chainsaw, flood & fire, blue tarp roof and box ministry trainings. Use a blue card in the pew to sign up or see Associate Pastor Josh Tylich for more information. The church will cover all costs of the training.

2018 CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTSContribution statements for the tax year 2018 will be mailed out this week. Upon receiving your statement, please be sure to look it over carefully. If there are any discrepancies to be discussed, please call Holly in the church office. Please note that statements totaling less than $100 will not be mailed. If you do not receive a statement, stop by the church office.
