ALA AMATURE LITTLE CINEMA ALA unique organization of film artists, film lovers, viewer and appreciators.It is opened at Kozhikode in the year 2000and now affiliated in the kerala state chalachitra academy and federation of film societies of India .now it comprises members from all over India. Its first venture was script writing workshop on 10 July 2001 in which about hundreds of participants in and out of kerala took part. ALA Conducted different verities of programs based on films. Awards for Malayalam Films, short film workshops, film festivels, film appreciation camps, cine ala magazine, ceminars and also conducting digital short film festivals from 2004 onwards.

5TH ALA DIGITAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 2008The prestigious ala short film award instituted in the year 2004 onwards, lot of Youths are making short films in digital media they have no platform for to exhibit their works before the audience, in that circumstance ala decided to conduct a short film festival in calicut.so many malayaliartists participate first festival. Then after ala conduct festival every year, now ala festival is the biggest short film festival in kerala. Last three years entries come out of kerala also. We treated not a national festival or international festival. We would like to say it is a ala festival. Please come and participate all film lovers in our fest.

ELIGIBILITY All digital films made after 2006 janvery can submit for complitation. Films submitted before our fest is not eligible. Duration less than 30 mts for short films, campus films, documentaries and channel category films. Albums, animation films ad films duration less than 5mts Language; any language wirh English subtitle are eligible.

LASTE DATE Last date for submission: 16th August 2008 (with DVD and entry fee)

SELECTION PROCEDURE Preview committee will short list the entries, for screening before award jury. Slectected good films will screen in the festival.

Format for submission: The films must be submitted in DVD format.

Fee for entry: Below 5mts Rs 500/-
