First, we are pleased and excited to have your son or daughter in our AP US History course. We will work diligently to prepare them for the national Advanced Placement exam which is Thursday May 6, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. and hope they enjoy the course as much as we enjoy teaching it. AP United States History is a rigorous course and we are in unprecedented times in facilitating the course remotely. Students’ input and ownership in APUSH will be a key to their success in class and on the AP Exam. Over the course of this year, we will cover American History from the Pre-Columbian era to the 21 st Century and more information about the class is provided in the UHS APUSH Course Description and College Board course description on our website here, https://uhsapush2015.weebly.com/ Being thrown into a virtual world of Zoom and online learning last quarter was a shock to say the least and though we feel more prepared now than in March, we are still learning how to manage and utilize the technology and ask for your support and patience as we move into a new way of teaching and learning. Mistakes will be made, and challenges will occur but knowing we are in this together as a community can keep us all on track and as positive as possible. We can do this, and we will thrive as a result. Our goal is to support our students in their learning and growth and assisting them to the best of our abilities in this endeavor. Our Zoom guidelines are on the website and suffice it to say we expect all students to attend class, participate, and complete their coursework. Email is the best way to contact us and we do our very best to respond within 48 hours. Please know if you email us after the end of the workday Friday we will respond at the earliest Monday morning. Dear UHS Parents & Guardians,

As the new school year begins, Ms. Sarah Stuart and I wanted to introduce ourselves to you. Over the course of this year, we will cover American History from the Pre-Columbian era to the 21st Century and more information about the class is provided in the UHS APUSH Course Description and College Board course description on our website here, https://uhsapush2015.weebly.com/

Being thrown into a virtual world of Zoom and online learning last quarter was a shock to say the least and though we feel more prepared now than in March, we are still learning how to manage and utilize the technology and ask for your support and patience as we move into a new way of teaching and learning.

We are excited about working with your children and are looking forward to a great year!
