Shenila AbbasBased at Challney High School for Boys

Shenila is an experienced secondary Mathematics teacher with 20 years experience. She has in depth knowledge of Mathematics teaching and assessment and co-ordinating the mentoring of

NQTs and PGCE students.She has also worked with primary schools to

improve Mathematics teaching.She has supported her Head of Department to

develop new policies and worked with teachers to improve teaching and learning.

She also has Governance experience as she is a Governor at Denbigh High School

Ryan CareyBased at Challney High School for Boys

Ryan has experience working in a range of schools, from those in Special Measures to those

which are outstanding, leading Humanities subjects. In his previous role Ryan led non-

specialist staff in achieving a 50% increase in GCSE results in a year.

Ryan is an innovative teacher who uses his experience as a Lead Practitioner to drive up

standards of teaching and learning by encouraging engaging and active teaching and

learning.Through his work in Middle Management Ryan

has experience of implementing a variety of systems to ensure and monitor progress,

attainment and achievement for all students.

Andrew DarlingtonBased at Denbigh High School

Andrew started with the Trust in September 2016. He has taught Science in secondary schools in

Luton and was Head of Science at an outstanding school in Bedford where he was a member of the

Senior Leadership Team.

Tom BeachBased at Denbigh High School

Tom started with the Trust in September 2016. He has taught Science, and specifically Physics, in a

variety of schools both in England and abroad. He has worked extensively on curriculum planning for Physics and Science as well as focussing on EAL students, looking at reporting and data analysis

and raising achievement in Physics.

Tom GuineyBased at Challney High School for Boys

Tom has experience of working in a variety of different schools; including inner city, all boys and

large rural secondary schools. He is currently Head of PE at Challney as well as being a trained mentor for Initial Teacher Training. He also has experience in mentoring NQTs. He is one of the

PE specialist/leader of PE subject specific trainers for University of Hertfordshire trainee teachers

.

Jeremy HeathBased at Challney High School for Boys

As well as being an experienced Drama teacher, Jeremy has significant pastoral experience having been a Head of Year for 4 years. He is currently a

Head of House at Challney. Jeremy was instrumental in raising standards of behaviour in his previous school, prior to joining Challney, and is a trained Pivotal Behaviour Management instructor.

He coaches individuals as well as groups of Middle Leaders to create outstanding behaviour for

learning (BfL) environments.

Sarah HughesBased at Dallow Road Primary

Sarah started with the Trust in September 2016. She was a Senior SLE in a Central Bedfordshire

Teaching School where she delivered on the New Primary Curriculum. Sarah was awarded a large grant to help design the New Primary Curriculum and Life Without Levels. She was on the Senior

Leadership Team of a very good middle school for 10 years and led very successful English and ICT

departments. Her KS2 results always showed very high Value Added scores.

Alkesh LaljiBased at Challney High School for Boys

Alkesh started with the Trust in September 2016. He has a strong Science background having led a

secondary school Science Department. More recently he has been Deputy Head in a middle

school. Prior to his Deputy Headship and Head of Department roles, Alkesh taught Science in a

variety of Luton secondary schools.

Dan PallettBased at Challney High School for Boys

Dan started with the Trust in September 2016. Prior to this, he worked in two outstanding schools,

leading an outstanding Design, Technology and Engineering faculty within a Teaching School. He

has also worked as a Head of Year in a large secondary school. Dan has undertaken outreach

work in secondary schools and University Technical Colleges, helping bring departments up to speed with the latest technology in the subject

area. He has designed innovative curriculums that have revolutionised the teaching of Design, as well as reaping outstanding pupil outcomes. Dan has

sat on Senior Leadership Teams in his two previous schools.
