Happy Friday. It’s our first full week! It’s good to return to routine, and I imagine there will be some tired kiddos and adults. We’re excited to keep the momentum going.

In an effort to support responsible use of the internet and our Generations skills of Civil & Global Engagement, Personal Responsibility, Communication, and Leading by Influence, we have invited the Jeffco Sheriff's Cheezo team to present to students. Cheezo will present to both primary and intermediate on internet safety on 9/19/19. This will be followed by a parent session on 9/24/19 at 6pm. We offered this parent learning last spring and received feedback that it was “eye opening” and critical information for all families. Please complete this brief Google Form if you plan to attend. A few quick reminders:● Please wait for your children after Enrichment outside the front doors. We

do not have office staff to buzz people into the building and kindly ask that you wait outside. Please do not push the buzzer nor expect staff to let you in, as for safety purposes we generally do not allow folks in after 3:30pm.

● Our Before and After School Playground Rules have been revised. ○ We do not allow children to play on the playground, even with

supervision, from 8:10-8:20am.○ We ask that students keep balls and projectiles out of the air from

8:10-8:20am and 3:00-3:10pm.○ Only students who have an adult directly supervising them will be

allowed on the playground after school.

● We will hold our first Accountability Meeting on 9/23/19 at 6pm in the library. You will be able to find our agenda and meeting notes in the Accountability section under Parent Resources.

Ute Scoot 5K & Fun RunIf you or your company would be able to help with this year's Ute Scoot 5K & Fun Run, we would love it! We are needing help with:

● Sponsorships - monetary donations or prizes for raffle drawings or goody-bag give-aways. We are also looking for a t-shirt sponsor so that shirts are available on race day.

● Volunteers - if you are interested in cheering on a corner or helping at the start/finish line, any help would be appreciated!

● Post-Race fun - we are looking for a Photo Booth, face painter, etc.... anything for kids/families to enjoy after the race.

2019 READ-A-THON Going on NOW! Read. Raise money for your school. This is PTA's biggest fundraiser and we're

asking each student to read as much as they can in the next two weeks and raise $100 each to help support all that PTA does for Ute Meadows. There are some

amazing prizes including Kindles, Echo Dots and a family weekend in Steamboat, CO! Your child will bring home their Read-A-Thon booklet today which will have all the information you need to get started. RAT questions and facts can also be
