Title of Artifact: Lesson Plan

Standard: Standard Four: Content Knowledge- The teacher understands the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the discipline(s) he or she teachers, particularly as they relate to the Common Core Standards and the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and creates learning experiences that make these aspects of the discipline accessible and meaningful for learners to assure mastery of the content.

I am placing my lesson plan under Standard Four: Content Knowledge. This lesson plan demonstrates my understanding of the Core Curriculum Content Standards and how to create a lesson plan appropriate for the grade level. Through the lesson plan, I have created a learning experience for all types of learners. I have included many different learning styles throughout the lesson to ensure each student will have a positive learning experience. This lesson will provide the students with the necessary skills to learn the content collaboratively as well as independently.
