Requirements List for “Opportunities for Professorial Advancement” Database (AGEP PROMISE Academy Alliance) Draft August 4, 2020 by M. Scott, SU One finding of the University System of Maryland’s AGEP Promise Academy Alliance (APAA) project was the need to connect under- represented minority (URM) post-docs with professional development and networking opportunities within the System, as well as having a list of interested post-docs for direct outreach from search committees across the System. Thinking more broadly than just post-docs, supporting URM doctoral students and pre-tenure faculty with such a digital resource could advance the goals of developing, recruiting, and retaining URM faculty overall.
