Games are good means of recreation. Games keep us physically and mentally healthy Hop scotch(stappu),Pallankuzhi,pittu(seven tiles), hide and seek , Langrhi-

taang , gilli danda , kite flying , kabaddi , wrestling are few traditional games. The games which we can play inside the house are called indoor games. The games which we play in the ground are called outdoor games. Hockey is our national game.

1. What are indoor and outdoor games? Give example.

Ans: Indoor games: The games which we can play inside the house are called Indoor games. Example- Ludo, Chess, Carom etc. Outdoor Games: The games which we play outside are called outdoor games. Example- Cricket,Gilli danda etc.

2. Name few traditional games. Ans: Gilli Danda, Hop scotch(stappu),Pallankuzhi,pittu(seven tiles), hide and seek , Langrhi-taang , kite flying , kabaddi , wrestling,House House,Kanche(Marbles) etc

3. Why is it important to play games? Ans: It is important to play games because

a) It helps us to relax.b) It is good exercise for mind and body.c) It keeps us fresh and active.
