Digital video editing techniques:

· Multi screen is where multiple narratives are playing at the same time an example of this is the TV series 24.

· CGI is computer graphics or more specifically 3D computer graphics, to make special effects. An example of CGI is the movie Avatar, which is the most expensive movie ever made, which cost them $280 million to make. 70% of Avatar was CGI. Avatar also used a lot of green screen to put the characters in the magical world of Pandora. Green Screen is used in filming as a background, which can be changed to a different background through editing.

· Animation is the process of making a motion change using a rapid display of a sequence of static images that minimally differ from each other. Disney Incredibles are the first animated movie to try and recreate hair.

· A freeze frame is where the motion of the video freezes and is left as if it was a picture, there will be no movement at all. One of the most iconic freeze frames is the last scene of ‘the breakfast club’ where the character Clark pumps his fist into the air.

· Slow motion is where you slow the footage down so the action appears more slower than in real life. In ‘The Matrix’ where Neo runs out of ammo while being face with an agent, where Neo is forced to doge every bullet fired at him is probably the most iconic and memorable shot ever made for slow motion.
