• Web 2.0 triggered a populist adoption of the Internet as a social tool – and a place to ‘hang out’
• In the public domain, software ‘wins’ by gaining wide acceptance through viral adoption
• And the value of the networks increase as more people adopt it • Most software innovation is currently taking place in the public
domain– This software advancement has taken place outside of the hierarchical
command & control environment of corporations• While many corporations have embraced Web 2.0, most are not
sure how to incorporate it into their infrastructure and leverage it as a business tool

• 28 million Urban Homes in India have PC or laptop • PC penetration in urban India has doubled in the last
three years• 9 million Broadband Internet Users in India• 81 million Internet Users in India – 4.1% of the
World’s Internet Users (30th June 2010)• 13 million Facebook user base in India (July 23 2010)• Facebook users growing at 14.34% week-on-week• 6 million+ LinkedIn users in India
What is it all about?
• Culture Change – Behavioral Change• Acceptance of the Web 2.0 technologies and
understanding their impact on our business• Collaboration and reduction of transactional time,
hence reducing costs• Creation and Maintenance of our online presence on
