ON THE COVER:This January, GCM debuted Light Cloud, our newest permanent interactive installation designed by artist Ivan Toth Depeña. Touch sensor plates to send ever-changing colors and soundscapes whirling around this high-tech work of art. Make sure to mix beams of light and sound during your next visit to GCM!

News From the MuseumJENNIFER STANCIL, President and CEO2018 has already brought many exciting adventures to GCM! From slinging over 700 pies in celebration of Pi Day to rocking out with the Imagination Movers at Gasparilla Music Festival Kids Fest, we have been busy playing with purpose! This April and May, the fun continues with even more exciting exhibit enhancements and programs. First, the Museum's beloved Publix is getting a refresh that will be revealed this April. We can’t wait for your kids to shop until they drop in our grocery store!

Preserve and protect our planet with April Showers + Flowers daily programming all month long in honor of Earth Day and Water Conservation Month. In May, we're Going Global to explore traditions from around the world. See how other cultures play, celebrate, and learn!

We also hope our grow-up friends will join us for some 21+ fun. Play like a kid again with parachutes, slinkies, and hula hoops on April 27 at Grown Up Night. Then, on May 3, join us for Parents’ Night Out with a comical reading of Science of Parenthood, a hilarious book of thoroughly unscientific explanations for utterly baffling parenting situations with author Norine Dworkin-McDaniel. Enjoy wine, food, and laughs!
