Dive into the details.The Sigfox network operates on sub-GHz frequencies on ISM bands: 868MHz in Europe/ETSI and 902MHz in the US/FCC.

SqwidNET uses Ultra Narrow Band (UNB), which is key to our ability to provide a scalable and high-capacity network.

With a 163.3 dB budgetlink, Sigfox enables long-range communications including hard-to-reach locations

With Sigfox, battery life is predictable since it enables devices to maintain full control over data exchanges. The device simply emits in the available frequency band (plus or minus its own frequency shift). The signal is detected by the closest base stations, decoded, and forwarded to the network backend.

The Sigfox Cloud forwards and receives the data through standards-based web APIs.

Each message contains a cryptographic token allowing the device and the network to mutually authenticate each other. Additionally, an anti-replay mechanism prevents any attacker from resending a recorded message. UNB and frequency hopping provide strong countermeasures against jamming and interferences.
