Mr. Nicholson has over 28 years of investment experience managing for individual and institutional investment consulting clients with Wells Fargo Advisors. He possess Series 7, 24 (Principal), 31, 63 and 65 security registrations and is a Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®), designated through the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCASM*). Prior to his association with Wells Fargo Advisors, Mr. Nicholson was an Asset Specialist with Grant Thornton in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Public Finance Officer with Nations Bank Capital Markets Group, also in Atlanta. Joe also hold the distinction of Senior PIM Portfolio Manager and is proficient in PNF analysis through Dorsey Wright & Associates. Joe is also a Professional Member of Kingdom Advisors which is a non-profit organization for Christian Financial professionals. Mr. Nicholson holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. He has served as President of the NAMI of Charleston and founding Treasurer of the Alzheimer’s Association of the Low Country, and past founding Treasurer of the non-profit Carolina Autism. Joe also served on the board of the College of Charleston’s Alumni Association and Treasurer of the non-profit Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy. He currently serves on the advisory board of the Camp St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center.

Originally from Greenville, Joe and his wife Nicole reside on John’s Island with their daughter and son and are members of St. Michael's Church in Charleston. At St. Michael’s he is active in Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and Cursillo ministries. As past Treasurer of the LowCountry Ford Model A Club he enjoys driving to work a 1930 Ford Model A Town Sedan and 1930 Ford Model A Truck.

Bernard F. “Bernie” PuckhaberMentor

(September 5, 1927-December 26, 2014)"In Memoriam"

"Bernie" was a major part of our team for over 20 years while working up to the very end with almost 50 years with Wells Fargo and predecessors. Mr. Puckhaber was a graduate of the College of Charleston with a liberal arts degree in history and a minor in economics. He was a past member of the Board of Trustees, College of Charleston Foundation Board, and former President of the College of Charleston’s Alumni Association.

Mr. Puckhaber took an extremely active role in College of Charleston athletics while attending the University and even still today. As a student, Mr. Puckhaber was on the basketball and tennis teams. In 1950 he earned the honor of being named to the All South Carolina team for basketball. He served as the coach of the College’s basketball team in 1956. His efforts on the basketball and tennis courts and sideline earned him a spot in the College of Charleston’s Athletic Hall of Fame.Bernie had been employed in the securities/investments business for over 55 years, 10 of which was with Merrill Lynch where he served as Operations Manager and then as an Account Executive. In 1965, Mr. Puckhaber joined Johnson, Lane, Space, Smith & Co. as an Account Executive and Co-Branch Manager. Mr. Puckhaber remained with basically the same firm, which is now, Wells Fargo Advisors.

He was married to his life long friend, the former Anne Stender. They have two grown children, Susan and Allen. They also have one grandson, Matthew.

Robin comes to us from Wells Fargo Advisors in Charleston, SC and has over 20 years of banking and investment experience. Robin is a Registered Securities Representative (Series 7), Series 66 state registration, Series 9 and 10 (General Securities Sales Supervisor) and SC Life, Accident and Health Insurance Producer licenses. Robin is a native of Batesburg-Leesville, SC and graduated from Midlands Technical College of Columbia, SC.

Robin began her career with Wachovia Bank, NA in Atlanta, GA, as a teller. She then became a Teller Manager in Columbia, SC before she was promoted to Teller Manager Trainer and Bank Branch Auditor where she traveled the SC midlands and performed bank branch audits. In May of 2002, Robin accepted the position of Client Associate to a Financial Advisor in Columbia, SC. After a short time, Robin was supporting as many as seven Financial Advisors with Wachovia Securities, LLC, which represented over a billion dollars in assets.

In 2014, Robin obtained her Series 9 and 10 and accepted the role as Regional Support Specialist where she supervised administrative and sales practice activities within the Charleston Regional Service Center, a market with approximately 150 Financial Advisors and Client Associates.

Robin resides on James Island with her 9 year old West Highland Terrier, Jack, and when she’s not entertaining Jack, she takes classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Robin has her blue belt and placed 2nd in her division in the 2018 Atlanta Spring International Open IBJJF Jiu JitsuTournament.

Wilson JonesPortfolio Administrator

Wilson began as an intern for our group during his undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston in 2013. He has extensive experience in Excel spreadsheet modeling. He joined Nicholson Wealth Management Group full time upon his graduation in 2017 with Bachelors of Science degree in Finance with a minor in commercial real estate from the College of Charleston. He recently obtained his General Securities registration also known as a Series 7. Wilson’s goal is to utilize the best technology to help ensure that our clients have an optimal portfolio for their unique investment needs.
