Executive summary
We plant good deeds in Romania is a multi-annual social movement
We plant good deeds in Romania aims at the involvement of the civil society, NGOs, authorities, companies and the media
We plant good deeds in Romania aims at protecting and growing forests
Milestones: - awareness campaign regarding the situation of Romanian forests- the map of deforested areas throughout the country- building an organizing team in each county - involving over 50.000 de in a 5 year span (the movement period) - planting and growing forests on at least 300 ha (1% of Romania’s surface)
Benefits
We will plant on degraded soil, contributing to the growth of the surface covered in forest from Romania
We will prevent land slides, desertification or flooding by planting trees
We will create the first public inventory of the forest cuts in Romania
We will promote means for civic involvement aimed at preventing forest cuts
We take responsibility for checking-up and monitoring each plantation until the final success
Who we are
A community of:
environmental NGOs and volunteers from Bucharest (Romanian capital) and the counties: Arges, Ialomita, Brasov, Mehedinti, Timis, Salaj, Cluj, Buzau, Iasi and Constanta (up till now)

We aim partnership with:
- The Association of Residence Cities in Romania- The Association of Cities in Romania- The Association of Villages in Romania- The Education Ministry - Local officials such as: County Councils, Prefecture
Institutions, Forest Administration Units, County School Inspectorates, County Youth Directions etc.
- The National Center for Volunteering - ProVobis- Volunteering centers in each county- Environmental NGOs, education NGOs and any other
NGO interested in getting involved- Multinational companies- The Media- Initiative groups
Movement calendar
Pilot plantings (March 26th, April 2nd, April 9th, April 16th) covering the counties: Timis, Arges, Ialomita, Brasov and Mehedinti

You can help us with:
- Part of your time in order to get involved as organizing volunteer- Donating working materials (gloves, shovels, buckets, rackets etc.)- Donating 10 RON (approximately 2.5 EUR) for buying seedling plants- Sponsorships with telecom services for the organizing members - Help make the official website on the reserved domain www.plantamfaptebune.ro (transl. weplantgooddeeds.ro) - Sponsorships with transportation for 400 volunteers/county (on small distances, approx. 30 km)- Transportation for working materials (from Bucharest – to residence cities)- Catering for events, conferences or plantings- 100 tickets for travelling / county (by train or bus)- Donations to raise 1500 EUR/county/year for monitoring and maintenance work on the plantations
- A meeting space for the central team of approximately 20 people (in Bucharest)
