2010 Kendall Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: This garnet gem delivers bright cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruit with elegant earthy notes infused with cola and mild spice accents. Oak aging adds a hint of vanilla and a soft, smoky finish Food Pairing: Sausage and filet mignon serve as great accompaniments. Interesting Fact: Kendall Jackson produced its first vintage in 1980.
2009 Sokol Blosser Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: 2009 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir has a core of distinct flavors and aromas – truffle, mushroom, leather, cherry, berry, violet and spice. Food Pairing: Pair this with roasted chicken and lamb. Interesting Fact: Bill Blosser and Sue Sokol, founders of Sokol Blosser, married in 1966 and purchased their first piece of land to
start a vineyard in 1970.
2011 Mark West California Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Aromas of dark berries including boysenberries and raspberries translate to brown sugar, molasses, a bit of orange zest and coriander on the palate. Food Pairing: Enjoy a glass with Margherita pizza and sweet potato fries. Interesting Fact: Founder Derek Benham named the winery after a 30 mile creek that ran through the original property in Sonoma.
2010 Handcraft Pinot Noir Tasting Notes: Gorgeous cherry, vanilla and strawberry aromas are followed by ripe black cherry, sweet spice, vanilla and chocolate flavors. Food Pairing: Pork chops and creamy potatoes call for a glass. Interesting Fact: Winemaking has been an integral part of founder Cheryl Indelicato’s family since
