The Philippines - Our home

Located within a 4-hour flight radius, our customers from around the globe take advantage of our proximity to the nearest international hubs such as Singapore and Hong Kong. Being at the center of Southeast Asia, the fastest growing region in terms of regional travel and aircraft demand, makes the Philippines a key strategic location in Asia Pacific and globally.

Our main facility is located inside the special economic zone within the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It sits on a sprawling 200,000 sqm lot with 8 hangar bays, two of which feature customized docks for Airbus A330/A340 heavy maintenance, and 9 aircraft parking slots. Our third and newest widebody hangar is capable of servicing the biggest aircraft in the market—the Airbus A380.

Through our satellite offices in Cebu and Clark, we provide aircraft line maintenance support to our domestic and regional customers.

Lufthansa Technik Philippines is a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG, the world leader in commercial aircraft MRO. Anytime of the year, 100 percent of our personnel undergo training under a system that earns them the authorization to work on aircraft registered in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines, which holds an EASA 147 certification as an approved Maintenance Training Organization, conducts EASA Part-66 compliant courses in its training center inside our facility.

Personnel transfers among Lufthansa Technik AG and its subsidiaries, including Lufthansa Technik Philippines, are also a regular occurrence, assuring optimum skills transfer within the Lufthansa Technik Network.

Highly-certified, highly-trustedWith superb training, strict adherence to international industry regulations and Lufthansa Technik standards, industry-compliant facilities and equipment, we successfully pass the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the United States’ Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other national and regional regulatory bodies. Base MaintenanceLufthansa Technik Philippines’ strong focus is on the base maintenance (C-, IL-, D-checks) of A320, A330, A340 and A380 aircraft types. Our base maintenance service spectrum includes cabin reconfiguration/retrofit programs and lease return checks which may be availed as a stand-alone product or as part of a long-term campaign. With more than 500 base checks, we have gained a diverse experience with all major SB/AD modification campaigns and complex structural repairs.

Component ServicesWe offer a full spectrum of component-related services. Together with Lufthansa Technik AG and its global logistics partners, we ensure that the needed components reach our customers’ aircraft in the shortest possible time, wherever in the world that component happens to be.

World-class trainingThrough our partnership with Lufthansa Technical Training Philippines (LTTP), an EASA 147 approved Maintenance Training Organization, our customers are assured that our production and office staff are equipped with world-class skills. Located within our facility, LTTP trains our mechanics to be certified in EASA Part-66 compliant courses. LTTP is backed by the vast network and expertise of Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT).

Lease-return checksWe are the Lufthansa Technik Network’s Asian center for aircraft transitions. Our vast experience with various Airbus aircraft types is vital to this development. In this new competence, we work closely together with the Aircraft Leasing & Trading Support (ALTS) team of Lufthansa Technik. Aside from our expertise, we fully demonstrate our flexibility and reliability by reacting swiftly to short-term findings that result in additional tasks that need to be accomplished next to the planned letter check.

Cabin reconfiguration/Retrofit programsWe have performed cabin reconfigurations and retrofit programs on Airbus widebodies and narrowbodies since we started our heavy maintenance operations in 2002. Today, we are able to complete high quality reconfigurations/retrofits in record time, a big contributor to the decrease in an aircraft’s downtime during a C- or D-check.
