Dear Volunteers, As I begin to write the “Volunteer Corner”, I feel so lucky to be writing to such dedicated and committed volunteers. We truly appreciate all you do for Ketterlinus. We have several vol-unteer requests that I would like to share with you. If you are interested, please let me know. Volunteer Requests: *A volunteer is needed to help find the reading level of books in first grade class library. This can be done at home, if you have access to a computer. *A volunteer is needed to cut out shapes using the die-cut ma-chine. *Volunteers are always welcome in the media center and the cafeteria. Thank you, again, for always lending a helping hand. Michelle [email protected]

We Live, Laugh and Learn at Ketterlinus Elementary School!
Dear Ketterlinus Family and Friends –
I hope you to see many of our parents and grandparents at our
Thanksgiving Luncheon on Tuesday, November 19th. Please check the
newsletter for your child’s lunch schedule, as it has been adjusted to
accommodate all of our extra guests that will be coming on this fun
day! Both Mr. Roberts and I will be serving a traditional Thanksgiv-
ing lunch to parents and families.
During the month of November, our students and staff have been
learning and/or reviewing the Character Count pillar of Citizenship.
Each morning, a “Dolphin of the Week” reads the Words of Wisdom
message that relates to the pillar of the month. During our parent
pickup time, I ask that our parents display good character (citizenship)
by being a good neighbor and by obeying the school procedures and
rules. As shared at the beginning of the year, please enter the “car
line” by way of Castillo Drive and turn right through the wooden
gates. It has been brought to my attention that several parents are ar-
riving later and are then “cutting” the line by turning left in front of the
wooden gates. Please show good character.
Thank you for assisting us in being good citizens and demonstrating
good character.
Have a great weekend!
