We had a full room, see photos. While Denise took a break for her

dinner, I made a presentation on the benefits of OSSN, went over the

information on the membership application form, and described to

them how to join. I gave out OSSN membership packages to each

person and after the meeting I actually had two talk to me about join-

ing. Two others (a couple) told me they just joined in Orlando be-

cause they were very impressed with what OSSN presented there. We

had a full room for our meeting with Denise Fraind from Globus Jour-

neys. The dining room was set up for 35 guests and we had 33

attend. Denise furnished supper for the members and their guests at

the meeting, a very nice touch from Globus. Denise did her presenta-

tion on the Globus Journeys family of brands; Monograms, Globus,

Cosmos and Avalon Waterways. We learned of the new tours avail-

able all over the world and the different types of bus and train tours

available. We learned the oldest ship doing Europe waterways was

built in 2008 and that 3 new ships are due in 2014 and all the new

ships since 2011 in Europe have been "Suite Ships".

Globus, Monograms and Cosmos are very different products. The

differences of each were discussed during the meeting. Globus is 80%

sold out for the 2014 riverboat cruise season at this time. They had a

couple of interesting cruise this year, a golf cruise and a beer cruise,

both sold well but were only offered once.

We hope to have Denise back where she will devote the meeting to

river cruises only as the interest in this area for that product is very

high.

The Las Vegas OSSN Chapter Meeting hosted the grand opening industry

party for the Downtown Grand.

The Tampa/St. Pete OSSN Chapter Meeting too kplace Nov. 14 at Tradewinds Resort and

featured guest speaker, Karen Lumpkin of Tradewinds Resort. Chapter Director Kira Solo-

man said, “Our agents had the opportunity to tour the entire Tradwinds Property and

see everything from room categories to even a live destination wedding taking place on

the beach! We enjoyed a lovely meal provided by the resort and then watched the sun

set. All of the agents in attendance were shocked at how beautiful the property is and

we all can't wait to send clients their way!

Unique Journeys was the guest OSSN Supplier at our meeting. Ellen Kettle, Chapter Director (far right

in photo) reports agents enjoyed meeting Heather and learning of the many vacation options offered

thru Amtrak Vacations, Yankee Holidays and Unique Journeys! Agents with a TRUE number may now

register on Amtrak Vacations website. The time with Heather was informative and most enjoya-

ble! Thank you to Heather for a great meeting....and for hosting lunch for agents!

The Indiana OSSN Chapter held their November meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Key-

stone at the Crossing Le Peep Restaurant. It was a small, but very informative meeting with

representatives from Radission Hotels and Ya'lla Tours. Laura Wold, who represents the Aruba

and St .Martin Radisson Resorts, reviewed the resort updates and discussed highlights for each

hotel. Rich Davis, our Ya'lla Tours representative covered the benefits to entrusting your cli-

ents with Ya'lla as well as information about many of the Ya'lla destinations. Rich spoke in-

depth about new offerings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Barain, Qatar and Cuba. Below is a pho-

The Daytona Beach Area Chapter of OSSN had their November lunch/presentation host-

ed by Collette Vacations at Frappes North in Ormond Beach on Tuesday, Nov. 5,

2013. Using fresh marketing strategies to reach out to past clients, we were challenged

to think outside the box. Lots of questions were answered and new supplier relation-

ships were established. Further discussion centered around the benefits of sole-
