Bake muffins according to package, put

brown food coloring in while mixing.

Once cooled slice grape for face and use

frosting to make eyes and beak. Slice

apples and use for feathers!

November is a time to

give thanks for all our many

blessings and as parents we

want our children to learn to be

thankful. After all there are

many things to give thanks for

both big and small. Share what

you are thankful for with your

children. Give them ideas what

they can be grateful for in their

life.

These are a few easy

ways to help instill gratitude in

your children.

• Make homemade thank you

notes when someone gives a

gift.

• Donate gently used toys or

other items.

• Help your child keep a

gratitude journal.

• Volunteer at a youth event or

a soup kitchen.
