aNImAl TEStiNgWhat is animal testing?When newly developed chemicals, mainly cosmetics, cleaning agents, and medicines, are experimented on animals. Typically, the animals used are mice, rats, and rabbits, but sometimes even dogs, monekys, and many other animals are used.

Companies conduct animal testing to assess whether the new products are safe and useful for humans. However, in these experiments, animals can experience tremendous pain. For instance, animals are forced to inhale nasty fumes, have chemicals injected into them, or take dangerous pills. As a result, animals may suffer from damages such as blindness, seizure, mutation, tumour or even death.

There are better alternatives to animal testing. For example, with the help of technology, chemicals can be tested on human cells and tissue models.

What can we do to stop animal testing? Stop buying from companies that participate in animal testing.

Be an advocate to stop animal testing.
