The Sandry Family is raising money for diabetes research by participating in the JDRF Walk for a Cure in Fargo, ND on Sept. 14. The JDRF Walk is an impactful way to raise money for critically needed type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and show your support for the millions of people affected by this serious disease including Ole.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin — a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.

With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure. Help us raise money for JDRF — the only global organization with a strategic research plan to end T1D.

Ways to donate: Online: http://www2.jdrf.org/site/TR/Walk/Chapter-MinnDakotas4316?fr_id=4086&pg=entry#event_about and donate to our team – Tackling Type 1 Check/Cash: Give Kim Sandry a check made out to JDRF. Thank you for your support of the JDRF Walk! Together, we will turn Type One into Type None.
