Set Up Backup in Windows 7① To begin with, go to “Start Menu” and
access to “Control Panel”.② In “Control Panel”, click the “System and
Security” link. And then in the new window, locate and click “Backup and Restore”.

② Next in the new window, click the “Set up backup” link. A new dialog box will turn up and you have to wait a while for starting Windows backup.

④ Then in the latter window, choose the destination as per your needs. If you want to back up your data to an additional drive, then connect the drive to the PC and then click the “Refresh” button.

⑤ After that, select the target drive and click the “Next” button.

⑥ In the following screen, decide either let windows choose or let yourself choose what to back up. Here we will take “Let me choose” as an example. After the decision, click “Next”.

⑦ Next you can select all the drives, partitions, and folders to be backed up.
Please note that it cannot back up program files or system files. However, if the target device has enough space, you can enable “Include a system image”.

⑧ After clicking “next”, review your backup settings. And if you want to change the backup schedule. Click the “Change schedule” link.

⑨ In the new window, specify how often you wish to back up and click “OK”.
⑩ Then you will return to the previous window. Click “Save settings and run backup” to start it.

⑪ Finally, Windows will show you that backup is in progress. Click “View Details” to see its completion rate.

Restore in Windows 7
•After accomplishing the backup, you can access to the target drive and double click the related files to restore them. Or go to “Backup and Restore” center and utilize the “Restore my files” feature.
