WAYMAKER 2020 VBS DAY 2: AMAZING RESCUE “Nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37 NIrV BUILD AN EPIC FAMILY FORT Once you’re done building, spend some time talking about all the amazing things God has done to protect and provide for His people (that means you too!) IMPOSSIBLE OBSTACLE COURSE Build an obstacle course that *might* feel a little impossible. Work together to get every person in your family through the obstacle course. Just like you helped each other to get across the course, God was there to help and guide the Israelites through the Red Sea! FAMILY DEVOTIONAL Read Exodus 14:21 -22 Moses knew that God was their only hope of escape. He faithfully trusted the Way Maker and God made a way for His people. ASK: What did God do in order to rescue His people at the shore of the Red Sea? ASK: It seemed like the Israelites were in an IMPOSSIBLE situation in our story? What seems impossible to you? Questions to ask during the week: ● What was something surprising that happened today? ● Which part of VBS did you like the most today? ● What was the memory verse for the day? CHECK THIS OUT – STRAW PIERCES A POTATO Materials: potato and straw Directions: 1. Try first to see if you can pierce a hole in the potato with a straw – seems impossible right? 2. Take your thumb and cover up the end of the straw opposite the potato…now try again and it will work!
