Why choose Dilution Control?

When possible, dilution control of chemicals is the most beneficial method you can use.

Dilution control provides you with the most cost-effective use of chemicals; reduced “re-

cleaning” because the cleaning job is done with the right dilution the first time; and reduction

of hazards because the system, not the people, handles the concentrated chemicals.

The WAXIE® Solution Station® Dilution Control Systems provide you with the most flexible,

accurate, safe and cost-effective use of chemicals. With multiple dispensing options and

chemicals available, WAXIE Solution Station systems can be designed to meet all of your

cleaning chemical needs!

The three predominant methods of using chemicals are ready-to-use,

bulk concentrates and dilution control. Each method has its place in the

cleaning operation, and each has its specific benefits.

Ready-to-Use (RTU) | RTU is convenient and is particularly good for chemicals that are difficult to concentrate effectively. These include floor finishes, high-acid cleaners and metal polishes. When other products such as glass cleaners, all-purpose cleaners and degreasers are in RTU packaging, they are very costly versus concentrates.

Bulk Concentrates | Products such as degreasers, floor strippers, glass cleaners, etc. are often sold in concentrate form. These are packaged in various sizes (pre-portioned packages, cartridges, gallons, drums, etc.). Instructions are provided for dilution (one ounce per gallon, one packet per mop bucket, etc.), and it is up to the user to correctly measure both the chemical and the water. This is commonly known as the “glug-glug” method.

Dilution Control | Concentrated cleaning chemicals are effectively diluted according to manufacturer specs or customer needs by a device that automatically measures out the concentrate and the water at certain proportions. These devices can range from wall-mounted units to hand-held miniature dilution systems.

Safety | The closed-loop system and spill-resistant bottles prevent worker exposure to chemicals. Bottle insert

is bonded to the 3L bottle neck and permanently secured inserts, locking cabinets and racks create a tamper-

resistant system. WAXIE Solution Station products have simple descriptive names and are color- and number-

coded with full-color in-use application photos on chemical concentrates and secondary labels to help your

employees always use the right solution in the right place.

Accuracy | The color-coded metering tip is safely locked away in the concentrate bottle using a closed-loop

insert to prevent tampering with the dilution ratio and to ensure end-user cost per usable gallon, thus providing

consistent product performance.

What is SOLSTA™?SOLSTA is short for Solution Station, WAXIE’s unique dilution control system that includes dispensers and a wide variety of chemicals.

WAXIE designs our systems to take the

guesswork out of dilution control. We want

to ensure the right product is hooked up

to the right dilution control button so we

actively reinforce this with the use of

color-coding, numbers, pictures, etc.

The WAXIE secondary labeling system

also helps ensure spray bottles are filled

used correctly (photos of the product in-use,

easy-to-read labels, etc.).

In addition, these systems help prevent staff from coming in contact with the

chemical when changing concentrate refills. This reduces hazards because

the system, not the cleaning staff, handles the concentrated chemicals. Back

flow prevention devices in the dispensers meet all plumbing codes and
