FarmFlowTm LD Pipe

Waters & Farr FarmFlow Low Density (LD) Polyethylene pipe is designed and manufactured in New Zealand specifically for New Zealand farming conditions. Made utilising a higher quality compound than the NZS7601 standard requires. It is suitable for the majority of water reticulation projects around the farm such as connecting troughs and small irrigation systems. Available in nominal ID sizes 15mm-50mm, in pressure rating 500kPa-970kPa (depending on the pipe size ID) and standard coils lengths 25m, 50m, 100m & 200m.

UV StabilisationWaters & Farr FarmFlow LD pipe contains 2.0 – 2.5% of carbon black to ensure UV resistance for service life.

Quality AssuranceWaters & Farr manufacturing plants are certified and audited to ISO9001 standards. During production Waters & Farr FarmFlow LD pipe is checked for dimensional conformity.

Fittings InstallationWaters & Farr FarmFlow LD pipe is suitable for use with all ID fittings available on the New Zealand market.

Step 1Insert the fitting into the inside of the pipe until it becomes tight, then move the pipe or fitting in a circular motion to open up the ID of the pipe a little. As per fittings manufacturers installation instructions warm water may aid in the assembly process.

Step 2Push the fitting into the pipe past at least the second barb - this is where the seal is created. Then do up the locking nut which holds the fitting in place on the pipe.

Fittings CompatibilityWaters & Farr FarmFlow LD polyethylene pipe is compatible with all fittings available on the New Zealand market including Hansen and Anka.

Coil StrappingWaters & Farr larger coils are tied with high strength nylon strapping, fused together this provides high strength bond and uniformity in coil lengths. For smaller coils Waters & Farr uses NOPI Polypropylene tape which is one of the strongest tapes on the market and will not stretch.
