RECA Zirconium Fibre Discs RECA Zirconium Fibre Discs have fine crystalline grain consisting of aluminium and zirconium oxide.
Compared to aluminium oxide, zirconium discs have a high tenacity combined with slightly less hardness. Fields of application include rough sanding of metal and use on welds, steels, stainless steel, fibre grass and heavy-duty metals.
Cool cutting, long lifetime and continuous self-sharpening. Even low grinding pressures produce an aggressive cutting performance.
High strength vulcanized fibre to resist tearing in heavy grinding applications.

RECA Ceramic Fibre Discs
The RECA ceramic disc has been developed with the hardest and toughest grain.
The ceramic grain provides a continued higher level of performance. The ceramic grain ensures permanent maximum performance. Self-sharpening effect through micro fractures in the grain. Particularly aggressive stock removal and consistent grinding finish. For best result use with an angle grinder over 1000w and with the
turbo backing pads. Applications: For machining all metals and particularly good for materials that
are difficult to machine such as stainless steel, titanium, high-alloy steels etc. Also suitable for grinding welding seams, deburring and chamfering.

Ceramic Fibre Discs Ceramic technology has been used to build upon the existing range of fibre discs and to give
customers premium performance and lifetime. Fibre discs with precision shaped ceramic grain, engineered with ultra fast sharp cutting points,
even wear, optimising mineral breakdown to maximise disc life. Ceramic grain sharpens as it wears, initial grinding breaks away
a small edge of the grain, as grinding continues micro fractures form which break off to create fresh sharp edges. This process repeats throughout grinding to give long term efficiency.
Particularly aggressive stock removal and improved grain retention.
Particularly suitable for stainless steel, chrome, titanium and oth-er more exotic materials, and of course mild steel.
Ceramic gives you increased productivity and lower cost per grind, and of course less down time.

Webrax Discs
Ceramic grain gives you a more aggressive and higher stock removal rate. The coating on the discs keeps them cool when grinding, allowing for a
longer working time than standard zirconium. Backing cloth is a tear resistant z-polyester.
For use with compressed air grinders (right angled) and flexible shafts. Can be used on most metals; steel, stainless steel and non ferrous metals. Ideal for use when grinding weld points, and in areas that are hard to reach. Fastlock system allows discs to be changed quickly and easily, it is also
compatible with Roloc (3M), Siafix (Sia) and Type III Twist (Merit). Discs must be used in conjunction with a backing pad and spindle.

RECA T6 Premium Metal Grinding Discs

Metal grinding is a demanding procedure that requires a specialist wheel for optimum performance. Many manufacturers simply combine ordinary abrasive grit with an extremely hard bond. This produces a wheel that vibrates due to its hardness and is therefore uncomfortable to use. Also to make progress, more force is required thus increasing user fatigue.
RECA T6 abrasive wheels use a medium/hard bond but specially selected abrasive grit. The abrasive grit is the highest quality raw material and the carborundum used is graded by size and shape as well as quality. The abrasive grit is the part that makes the cut and the bond is only the part that holds the grit. This ensures the premium wheels always have a sharp, hard wearing cutting edge.
The grinding base is a turbo pattern. This is a balance of hard and soft bonds to give the longest life possible and most aggressive stock removal. The design is arranged into a turbine effect that also helps to cool the wheel and the work piece, thus eliminating any unnecessary friction.

AA = Aluminium Oxide (for working in metal) C = Silicon Carbide (for working with stone) Grit 10-24 Coarse, 30-60 Medium, Grade or Disc hardness (the strength of the bond that holds the abrasive grain together) L to O = Medium, P to S = Hard, T to Z = Very Hard Bond type BF = Bakerlite (artificial resin) bonded and reinforced with fibre fabric Different manufacturers will have slightly Different Grits or Grades on the disc. These all affect the quality and lifetime of the abrasive disc.
