Water Industry Operations Group’s Productivity from Innovation ConferenceWairakei Resort, Taupo
Programme
The purpose of our Productivity from Innovation conference is to provide an environment for sharing knowledge and experiences to inspire innovation within the industry.
Our industry is unique in many ways. Our source waters differ in every possible parameter – with variations in chemicals, organics and solids, both natural and introduced. Our waste receiving waters arrive at our plants as various cocktails of domestic, industrial and natural waste.
You are the Operations Professionals who provide the networks to transport our waters, treat it to a safe standard for drinking and meet environmental discharge consents. There are countless challenges in our industry every single day. Innovation is often the solution. We have exceptional people from diverse backgrounds who, with industry training, passion and innovation, provide safe, robust, cost effective outcomes.
Who should attend? The issues we face each day are seen as important to the evolving role of Operations Professionals. Our conference provides the opportunity to network and discuss. We feel it’s crucial that all companies and industry organisations have at least some staff who can communicate these developments to their peers at the conference, and when they return from the conference.
We suggest that contractors, LATEs and council staff alike attempt to send at least one operator from each of the fields of Water Treatment Operations, Wastewater Treatment Operations, and Reticulation Operations. Several employers have already committed to reducing to a skeleton staff and will be sending all the Operators they can spare, and we applaud their commitment.
