2 0 2 6 Esh Construcon Ltd are a leading construcon contractor, engaged in civil engineering, new build commercial and housing projects, property development, refurbishment and property maintenance. Esh Construcon Ltd operate throughout the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Scotland. Esh Construcon Ltd’s Environmental Management System (EMS) has been established to comply with the Internaonal Standard ISO 14001: 2004 and the organisaon achieved cerficaon in March 2006. Esh Construcon are currently working towards achieving ISO 14001:2015 cerficaon in July 2017. Esh Construcon Ltd’s environmental commitments are included below. The scope of the EMS reflects the context of the organisaon and the needs and requirements of interested pares, this is reviewed on an annual basis to ensure objecves and targets are relevant to Esh Construcon’s acvies. Environmental performance and control is integrated with the Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Energy (ISO 50001) management systems and procedures, under the direcon of the Senior Management Team with the support of all employees, suppliers and contractors. It is Esh Construcon Ltd’s policy to: Demonstrate compliance with all relevant environmental legislaon and other compliance obligaons, taking into account the requirements of interested pares. Protect the environment by idenfying and migang environmental impacts over the lifecycle of construcon projects. Ensure there is effecve and responsible waste management and disposal, in line with the relevant legislaon and the requirements of our clients. Integrate environmental management with Esh Construcon Ltd’s core business processes. Prevent polluon and statutory nuisance by idenfying risks and ensuring adequate resources and control measures are available on site prior to and during work operaons. Provide training and awareness of relevant environmental issues for all staff who work for, or on behalf of Esh Construcon Ltd. Engage with suppliers, contractors and customers on environmental iniaves including the procurement of supplies from sustainable sources and promong the reuse and recycling of products. Connually improve the environmental management system to enhance environmental performance. The effecveness of the EMS is monitored by regular audits conducted by Esh Group, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Department. Environmental performance against Esh Construcon’s policy commitments is reviewed by the Senior Management Team in the annual Management Review. Environmental responsibility at site level is established through site specific documentaon highlighng individual’s roles. The environmental policy is available to all employees on the staff intranet and displayed in all offices and construcon sites. Electronic copies of the policy are available on the company web site. The policy will be reviewed annually. Ulmate responsibility for the performance of the environmental management system lies with the Managing Director and Senior Management Team. We also understand that when waste is managed correctly it can be a valuable resource, helping our transion towards a circular economy. Esh Construcon’s commitments to waste management include: Disposal of all waste in line with the waste hierarchy (reduce, re-use, recycle); Fulfilling our Duty of Care obligaons by appoinng licensed waste contractors who dispose of waste at licensed facilies, and ensuring all waste transfer notes/ hazardous waste consignment notes are correctly completed; BRE Smart Waste online SWMP or Esh Construcon site waste management plan (form EPF022) to be completed and kept up to date on all construcon sites with a project value greater than £300k; Site teams to be made aware of the waste disposal requirements through daily briefings and toolbox talks; Construcon site waste to be segregated between hazardous and non-hazardous as a minimum, with separate waste streams i.e. mber, metals, where space allows; Skips to be adequately signposted to avoid contaminaon; Office waste to be segregated at source, with a minimum of paper/card and general waste; Exploring opportunies for reducing waste, including ordering materials pre-cut to size, arranging for suppliers to take back packaging, value engineering and pre- refurbishment waste audits; Measuring waste management performance, seng new targets and connuously improving. Esh Construction Ltd are a leading construction contractor, engaged in civil engineering, new build commercial and housing projects, property development, refurbishment and property maintenance. Esh Construction Ltd operate throughout the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Scotland.

Esh Construction Ltd’s Environmental Management System (EMS) has been established to comply with the International Standard ISO 14001: 2004 and the organisation achieved certification in March 2006. Esh Construction are currently working towards achieving ISO 14001:2015 certification in July 2017.

Esh Construction Ltd’s environmental commitments are included below. The scope of the EMS reflects the context of the organisation and the needs and requirements of interested parties, this is reviewed on an annual basis to ensure objectives and targets are relevant to Esh Construction’s activities.
