Carole M. Scriven, 77, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Riverview Manor in Flandreau, SD. Visitation with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, March 10, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave. Funeral service will 10:00 am Saturday, March 11 at Miller Funeral Home. Carole Maxine Duncan, daughter of Jasper and Lucy (Vjerk) Duncan, was born September 9, 1939 in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls graduating from Washington High School in 1957. She was united in marriage with Rod Anderson on February 14, 1959 in Sioux Falls, SD. Carole was a homemaker for several years. She began working at Midland National Life for 12 years then continued her career at Citibank. Her husband Rod passed away on September 15, 1984. Carole was united in marriage with William Scriven on September 11, 1991 in Sioux Falls, SD. He passed away on August 8, 1999. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and gardening. Carole was a member of the Red Hat Society’s local chapter called the Red Hot Mamma’s. Grateful for having shared her life are her five sons, Rob Anderson, Randy Anderson, Rory Anderson, Rick Anderson, Ron Anderson, all of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Sherri) Duncan, Sioux Falls, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Rod Anderson and William Scriven; two sisters, Effie Bethke and Ruby Hunsaker; and a brother, Berdell Duncan; and her daughter-in-law, Vicki Anderson.
