“Our operating assumption is that everything west of Interstate 5 will be toast.”
How do you prepare?•Depends
•Where do you live?•Do you stock up?•Or do you put what you can in a go kit?•Where are you going to keep important papers?•Where are you going?
OSSPAC estimates that in the I-5 corridor it will take between one and three months after the earthquake to restore electricity
•six months to a year to restore major highways
•eighteen months to restore health-care facilities
•On the coast, those numbers go up.
•Whoever chooses or has no choice but to stay there will spend three to six months without electricity.
• Simulated Emergency TestQuake Ex 2 SET

• TVF&R will work out of their sites because they have issues.•Any one else need to work at their sites?• Take pictures of your radio go kits• The plan was to have a “Operational Period”, so none
were to be out for 8 hours. The plan is just that, a plan. Some may opt to move to another site in the middle of the SET.• This time county EOC will have plenty of radios and
stations to work at, we won’t drop the ball this time.
