DESCRIPTION
Lincolnshire couple, Edward and Lucy Herring, own and run Washingborough Hall as well as juggling the needs of their three young daughters. They pride themselves on their hands-on approach. They have already overseen some sympathetic renovation work and have added their own personal touch. Lucy, with her background as a successful cordon bleu cook, works closely with the head chef to create the traditional British menu using the highest quality fresh produce.TRANSCRIPT

Georgian Country House Hotel dating back to 1700’s and set in secluded
grounds and just over 2 miles from the centre of historic Lincoln.

grounds and just over 2 miles from the centre of historic Lincoln.
Privately owned and managed by Lucy and Edward Herring,

designed. There are two stunning four-poster bedrooms, each with a
luxurious free standing bath and separate shower enclosure, there are
three further fabulous executive rooms, five classic rooms and
two charming single rooms.
Whichever you choose, all retain the best of their original Georgian
features, but come well equipped with modern flat-screen televisions,
luxury L’Occitane toiletries and wireless internet access. Guests also have
facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee accompanied by
homemade biscuits.

Washingborough Hall is located 2 miles east of the historic centre of Lincoln.
Leaving the city on the B1188 turn left onto the B1190 and proceed to
Washingborough village. Turn right at the mini roundabout onto Church Hill
and the stone driveway entrance to the hotel is on the left after 0.1 miles.
Directions from the South:
For a scenic and surprisingly quick route leave the A1 north of Colsterworth and take
the B6403 towards Easton/Ancaster. At roundabout join A52 to Boston/Ancaster/RAF
Cranwell, after 0.25 miles fork left back onto B6403 to Ancaster/Lincoln.
Continue through Ancaster, at A17 turn right to Sleaford. Immediately turn left onto
B1429 through RAF Cranwell/Cranwell village. At A15 turn left to Lincoln.
After 9.5 miles turn right onto B1178, at sharp right bend, go straight on to Branston.
Proceed straight through at Branston traffic lights to Heighington/Washingborough.
After 1 mile turn left to Washingborough. At top of hill turn left, after 0.1 miles turn right
onto Church Hill. The stone driveway entrance to the hotel is on the right after 0.3 miles.

If you are using a Sat Nav for directions, please be advised that some systems will send
you to the High Street rather than Church Hill. If you find yourself there, go down to the
bottom of the hill, turn left and left again, this will bring you to the bottom of Church Hill,
the stone driveway entrance to the hotel is on the left after 0.1 miles.

cathedral (the third largest in Britain), the Jews
House (one of the oldest inhabited buildings in
the country), the Bishop’s Palace and the
11th century Castle - housing one of only four
surviving original copies of the Magna Carta.
