Warlock Pact Hexblade Pact “Behold! A gift from my master! Let me share it with you.” The Hexblade is an additional pact option for the Warlock, that can be chosen at 3rd level. Similar to the Pact of the Blade, this pact allows you to use an action to create a pact weapon in an empty hand. The form this weapon takes is associated with your patron. These forms are described later in this supplement. If a patron has more than one pact weapon associated with it, you choose one that remains associated with you. You are proficient with the weapon, and it counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Your pact weapon disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for 1 minute or more. It also disappears if you use this feature again, if you dismiss the weapon (no action required), or if you die. In addition, you learn a new cantrip associated with the pact weapon form you chose. New Invocations

EMPOWERED HEXBLADE

Prerequisite: Pact of the Hexblade

You learn a spell associated with your pactweapon. You can take this invocation multiple times to learn additional spells.

Prerequisite: Pact of the Hexblade, 5th level.

You can attack with your pact weapon twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

PRACTICED HEXBLADE

Prerequisite: Pact of the Hexblade, 12th level.

You are so well versed in the magical nature of your pact weapon, that wheneveryou would make a melee weapon attack, you can cast any spell associated with your pact weapon instead. This invocation does not include any melee weapon attacks made by the spells associated withyour pact weapon.

Pact Weapons

Blade of Annihilation

Prerequisite: Fiend Pact

This blade seems to be made of some wickedly dark metal, absorbing the light around it, although faint traces of light can occasionally be seen at its edges. This blade seems to move by itself once it strikes a target, eager to do more harm. It has the same statistics as a greataxe, but without the two-handed requirement. Its associated cantrip is Soul Eater, and its associated spells are Blazing Doom of the Void, and Reflexive Hellstrike.

Blade of Winter's Mourning

Prerequisite: Archfey Pact

This blade is made of otherworldly blue metal and takes the form of a rapier. Chill to the touch, it seems to dart around of its own accord to protect its wielder. It has thesame statistics as a rapier, but uses a d10 as its weapon die. Its associated cantrip is Icy Skewer, and its associated spells are Piercing Shard, and Winter's Retributive Escape.

Starshadow Blade

Prerequisite: Great Old One Pact

Some strange secret of weapon making hasleft the surface of this blade appearing liquid, with light and shadow playing uponit in ways seemingly disassociated with theworld around it. When it strikes a target, this light seems to leap away, casting long shadows. It has the same statistics as a longsword, but uses a d10 as its damage die (d12 versatile). Its associated cantrip isResplendent Blade, and its associated spells are Wield the Warp, and Gaze into Nothing.

Sword of the White Well

Prerequisite: Archfey Pact

This blade seems is possessed of an eerily perfect balance, and appears at all times as though bathed in moonlight. When it strikes a target, this light seems to shine brighter. It has the same statistics as a greataxe, but without the two-handed requirement. Its associated cantrip is Moonfire Blade, and its associated spells are Well of Light, and Moonlit Escape.

Blazing Doom of the Void

1st-level necromancy

Casting Time: 1 bonus action

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Blade of Annihilation)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with a melee attack with the Blade of Annihilationthe weapon erupts with black flame, raking the target body and soul. The attack deals an extra 1d6 fire and 1d6 necrotic damage. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed savethe target is vulnerable to necrotic damageuntil the spell ends.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot o f 3rd level or higher, the extra damage increases by 1d6 fire and 1d6 necrotic for every two slot levels above 1st.

Gaze into Nothing

4th-level conjuration

Casting Time: 1 reaction, when an enemywithin 5ft attacks you.

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Starshadow Blade)

Duration: Instantaneous

The dark and light alike that swim across your blade leap up and into the attackers eyes. The attacking creature is blinded until the end of your next turn.

Icy Skewer

Evocation Cantrip

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 5 feet

Components: V, M (Blade of Winter's Mourning)

Duration: Instantaneous

As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with the Blade of Winter's Mourning against one creature within the spell's range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target suffers the attack's normal effects, and the chill that surrounds this blade momentarily intensifies, hindering their attacks. The attack deals an extra Charisma modifier cold damage, and the target has disadvantage on their attacks against you until the start of your next turn.

Moonfire Blade

Evocation Cantrip

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 5 feet

Components: V, M (Sword of the White Well)

Duration: Instantaneous

As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with the Sword of the White Well against one creature within the spell's range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target suffers the attack's normal effects, and the light that surrounds this blade becomes painfully bright to the target. Theattack deals an extra Charisma modifier radiant damage, and if they end their turn adjacent to you they take an additional 1d8 radiant damage.

Moonlit Escape

4th-level conjuration

Casting Time: 1 reaction, when an enemywithin 5ft attacks you.

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Sword of the White Well)

Duration: Instantaneous

The light that surrounds your sword shelters you in its radiance. The attacking enemy must make a Dexterity saving throw. It takes 1d8 psychic and 1d8 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. You have resistance to all damage until the start of your next turn and may move up to 5ft without provoking opportunity attacks.

Piercing Shard

1st-level necromancy

Casting Time: 1 bonus action

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Blade of Winter's Mourning)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with a melee attack with the Blade of Winter's Mourning the weapon darts of its own accord toward the target's eyes. The attackdeals an extra 1d6 psychic and 1d6 cold damage. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save you are invisible to the target until the start of your next turn.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot o f 3rd level or higher, the extra damage increases by 1d6 psychic and 1d6 cold for every two slot levels above 1st.

Reflexive Hellstrike

4th-level necromancy

Casting Time: 1 reaction, when an enemywithin 5ft attacks you.

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Blade of Annihilation)

Duration: Instantaneous

The dark fire surrounding your weapon assault the one who dared to attack you. The attacking enemy must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they take 1d12 fire and 1d12 necrotic damage, and are pushed away from you up to 30 feet. On a successful save they take half damage and aren't pushed.

Resplendent Blade

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 5 feet

Components: V, M (Starshadow Blade)

Duration: Instantaneous

As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with the Starshadow Blade against one creaturewithin the spell's range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target suffers the attack's normal effects, and the light that surrounds this blade blasts through the target. The attack deals an extra Charismamodifier radiant damage, and an additional 1d8 radiant damage to a secondcreature within 5 feet.

Soul Eater

Evocation Cantrip

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 5 feet

Components: V, M (Blade of Annihilation)

Duration: Instantaneous

As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with the Blade of Annihilation against one creature within the spell's range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target suffers the attack's normal effects, and the blade viciously bites deeper into the target, relishing further assaults. The attack deals an extra Charisma modifier necrotic damage, and you have advantage on your next attack with the Blade of Annihilation against that target.

Well of Light

1st-level evocation

Casting Time: 1 bonus action

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Sword of the White Well)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with a melee attack with the Sword of the White Well the light that surrounds the weapon expands to a brilliant white light.

The attack deals an extra 1d6 radiant damage. The light that surrounds the blade gives off bright light for 5 feet and dim light for another 5 feet until the spell ends. While hostile creatures are in the bright light they are vulnerable to radiant damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot o f 2nd level or higher, the extra damage increases by 1d6 radiant for every slot level above 1st.

Wield the Warp

1st-level necromancy

Casting Time: 1 bonus action

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Starshadow Blade)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with a melee attack with the Starshadow Blade the blade also tears a hole in space. The attack deals an extra 1d6 psychic and 1d6 radiant damage. The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save you teleport them to any unoccupied pointwithin 5 feet.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot o f 3rd level or higher, the extra damage increases by 1d6 psychic and 1d6 radiant for every two slot levels above 1st.

Winter's Retributive Escape

4th-level conjuration

Casting Time: 1 reaction, when an enemywithin 5ft attacks you.

Range: Self

Components: V, M (Blade of Winter's Mourning)

Duration: Instantaneous

The sweep of cold wind bursts from your blade, sweeping you to safety.

The attacking enemy must make a Constitution saving throw. It takes 1d8 psychic and 1d8 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. You teleport up to 30 feet away.
