An extra 25% will be added if you are entered in otherclasses.
An extra 50% will be added for total new entries.REFUNDS: Exhibitors desiring refund of entry fees mustapply in writing enclosing a Veterinarians or DoctorsCertificate.
All refunds will be made less 25%.
Competitors ride at their own risk, they must be suitablyattired.HEADGEAR: All riders 16 years and under must wearprotective headgear, which includes a retaining harnesssecured to the shell at more than two points. Suchheadgear must be worn with the chinstrap properlyadjusted and fastened when in the arena or ring thepractice area, collecting rings or anywhere else within theshowgrounds.
All riders 17 years and over must wear riding caps in allevents.Safety harness is recommended in all jumping events.Judges decision is final.
All prize money/vouchers/product will be paid out on show
day.SPECIAL ATTENTION IS DIRECTED TO THESE RULES:The Royal Agricultural Society of NZ and its affiliatedshows recognise the Horse of the Year Show, flat events,ridden ponies, hacks, saddle (flat) hunters and led sporthorse breed classes for intents & purposes as A & Pevents.PROTEST PROCEDURE:1. The fee for lodging the protest is $50.00.2. The party lodging the protest shall pay in cash whenlodging the protest.3. The protest shall be lodged with the Secretary in writingwithin one hour of the judge's result in the said event.4. The fee shall be refunded if the protest is upheld.Horse and pony stewards must record the time of the
judges final decision on all events.MEASURING: Measuring must be done prior to show day.Current Height certificates must be carried on showday.Park Hack entries 158.0cms and under.The Warkworth Show will be conducted under the GeneralRules and Regulations as approved by the R.A.S. of NZ.These rules are available at the Secretary's office.TESTING FOR FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCES:The use of tranquilisers, stimulants or any drug capable ofaffecting the performance of horses or ponies is forbidden.Competitors are advised that tests for forbiddensubstances will be carried out during the show and thattesting of all animals is at the owners risk. Testing for
forbidden substances will be carried out under the Royal
Agricultural Society (Inc) Forbidden Substance JudiciaryCommittee (FSJC) procedures and rules (Refer Rule 112RAS Equestrian Competitors and Judges Rule Book andRule 55A of the RAS General Rules and Regulations.
The Society reserves the right to amalgamate under-subscribed classes or cancel under-subscribed rings.The Society reserves the right to exchange prize money forproducts or product vouchersOVERNIGHT HORSE ACCOMMODATION:Competitors are welcome to camp overnight on thegrounds free of charge but all horses and ponies MUST bekept in the yards allocated. All yards must be cleaned and
dung placed in the bins provided. We have a limitednumber of yards, therefore it is advisable to book yards andpay fees with your entries as yards will be allocated on afirst booked and paid for basis.NO TEMPORARY PENS, TAPES, ETC ALLOWED.HORSE OF THE YEAR 2014

We are splitting our sport horse classes this year to allowcompetitiors to qualify for a new section at the Horse of theYear Show. Championship winners in the Led Show Horsedivision will be eligible to compete. Please seewww.hoy.co.nzfor details.Performance horses are deemed to be those suitable forthe Olympic disciplines of dressage, showjumping andeventing whilst the Led Show Horse classes are aimed atthose suitable for A & P Showing.

The Miniature Horse Section is a NMHSNZ Hi-Point Show.Horses must be registered with bodies affiliated to RAS(NMHSNZ or NZMHA). Horses must hold a current RASHeight Certificate - a copy of which must be sent in with
entries. The Miniature Horse Section will be run inaccordance with the NZMHA Show Rules. All colts andstallions, regardless of age must wear a StallionIdentification Badge. No persons under the age of 16 tohandle a Stallion, other than a current seasons foal. Youthage is taken as at the 1st January 2014 - Youth must be 17years or under. If you have less than 5 wins you areeligible to complete in Novice Classes. Only horsesregistered with NMHSNZ are eligible to enter the NationalMiniature Horse Society of New Zealnd Stud Awards whichare to be run in conjunction with the Warkworth A & PShow.Champion selected from 1st placegetters in qualifyingclasses with 2nds to standby for Reserve Champion.
