WALTAIR TIMES

From The President’s DeskDear Members,

Greetings to you all !

As I have started my journey as the President of the Waltair Club, I am able to see my goalsmore and more clearly and trying to put in best of my efforts along with my team membersfor the development of the Club.

Renovation work of Chambers is in progress and soon we are going to witness upgradedand more comfortable rooms. We are also trying to improvise existing sports facilities in orderto give best experience to the sports lovers. Another interesting feature we have introducedis displaying the new elaborate menu on the notice board for the convenience of the members. I am sure the members wouldappreciate this.

As the entire world is advocating environment protection, our club is a step ahead in this regard. We made arrangement togrow organic leafy vegetables in the club. A vermin - compost pit is made and the organic manure would be used for the minivegetable garden of the club. One more initiative to be introduced shortly is reducing the usage of plastic wherever itspossible.

To keep the spirits of the members high, we are trying to strike best deals and give best schemes on spirits from thecompanies. I am also thankful to all the members for extending their cooperation regarding the implementation of mandatoryclub card system at all places in the club except at the movie.

Coming to the events, the Ladies Committee kick started the term with a grand ‘Mahanati Night’ which was well attended bythe club ladies. The Entertainment Committee is trying to put its best foot forward to celebrate Independence Eve on 14thAugust. Members are requested to attend the event in good numbers and make it a grand success.

May the Indian tricolor always fly high….. warm wishes to all the members on the grand occasion of Independence Day.
