2014 Sale Success! Spirited bidding by new and return clients
showed increased confidence in the
Wallawong breeding program at our 17th
Annual Carcase Quality Sale at ‘Marriot
Park’ Gunnedah last August. 16 of 20 Bulls
sold to a top of $7,000 and an average of
$4500, reflecting the solid competition for
lots throughout the sale. 8 registered heifers
were also sold to a top of $1900.
Impressive weights and eye muscle areas
combined with finishing ease appealed to
both stud and commercial producers with
registered bidders from Queensland,
Victoria and throughout NSW.
The $7,000 top priced bull was Lot 21
Wallawong Waterboy, a 750kg son of the 2012 top priced $13,000 bull Wallawong Unbelievable.

2014 - Another Amazing Year! 2014 has seen the boys growing up fast, Stirling
(nearly 7yrs) has completed Year 1, while Fraser
(nearly 5yrs ) has completed pre school and is off to
Kindergarten this year at St Xaviers with Stirling. Both
are showing interest in the cattle, with Stirling compet-
ing at Tamworth Show, Dubbo Heifer Show and Up-
per Hunter Beef Bonanza during the year.
We moved into our new strawbale house on the farm
last July and it has made such a difference. We have
experienced some hot days and the house is perform-
ing well without air conditioning. Although the outside
and landscaping is still a ‘work in progress’ it is lovely
to look out on the cattle and (now green) paddocks.
If you are ever in the area or wish to plan a visit we
would be happy to show you our herd, sires with se-
men available, young bulls and talk Murray Greys
with you anytime.
All the best in 2015!
