Safety comes firstDown Under Dirt Bikes has just completed 12 months of sales of its new CUV200-4x2 small utility vehicle from KTL Engineering Company that specialise in sports utility task vehicles (UTVs).

The KTL200 UTV was targeted towards a child-safe product for on-farm or recreational users to get around and have fun in the bush alongside adults full-size quads with the same risks.

The KTL model CUV200-4X2 has a Odes 200cc four-stroke engine coupled to a smooth easy to use continuously variable transmission (CVT), which gives the operator a simple forward/reverse selection and plenty of power to drive with ease and still have enough left to have some fun when required.

The ground clearance is around 250mm, which is enough to clear most small mounds and still be low enough to keep the centre of gravity down so there’s less chance of overturn. The CUV200 is able to achieve this by engineering design of the geometry and suspension to give the vehicle a safer footprint and better handling.

The CUV200 is equipped with standard seat restraints, safety nets, roll cage and a roof as well as driver speed restrictors to allow the guardian

of the operator to have total control over the top speed of the vehicle at all times.

In 12 months the new KTL200 buggy has seen a larger number of end users purchasing the product for small acre property work.

A number of long-term clients have also purchased the machines for its height, weight, ability, and power. The KTL200 can carry two people comfortably and still able to carry a small payload in the carry tray on the back of around 100kg.

The KTL200-4x2 retails for $4,490 including GST and comes standard with two years warranty.
