Easter Seals is launching a 5k walk, and a family friendly course, on Saturday, April 21, 2012! An Easter Seals Walk with Me event is different... and so will you be by the end of it – you will walk side by side with one of the people you are helping!

When you sign up for this event, your team or group will be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador, a child or adult with a disability who has benefited from our services. You’ll get to know your ambassador through photos and personal stories, and you’ll get to meet them on the day of the walk!

Consider gathering friends and coworkers to form a team, or sponsor a walker by making a donation. Every dollar raised stays here in Houston. Our intentionally low participation fee of $50 is so that we can have as many Houstonians walk in support of their community as possible; that means your neighbor whose baby was born pre-maturely, your cousin whose two year old needs a little help with speech, your closest friend whose baby was just diagnosed with a developmental delay. And Easter Seals is here to help! For every dollar we spend now in early intervention, we save $7 later!

Take the first step toward making a difference in the life of someone with a disability – REGISTER TODAY, www.WalkWithMeHouston.org! You can register as an individual, form your own team, or join an existing team. You can also commit to the walk as a corporate sponsor by making an outright donation, or by pledging to raise a designated amount of money through a corporate team of walkers.

Houston is one of the 62 Easter Seals affiliate’s holding a Walk with Me event around the country. Each year, walkers just like you raise millions of dollars to help their local Easter Seals provide vital services. Easter Seals Houston is one of the most efficient charities in Texas – with $0.90 of every dollar going to directly help clients. MISSIONWalk with Me raises funds in support of children and adults with all types of disabilities served by Easter Seals Greater Houston. Corporate sponsors have the ability to commit to a sponsorship level by making a cash donation, or agreeing to raise funds by forming a Walk team made up of individuals who create personal online fundraising pages.

Easter Seals Greater Houston, Inc. is a non-pro�t corporation established to provide comprehensive services to individuals of all ages with all types of disabilities and their families. As the only local organization providing comprehensive services for over 64 years, all funds raised in the greater Houston community stay here through ESGH’s nine programs: Early Childhood Intervention; Respite Services; Toy/Tech; High School/High Tech; Home of Your Own; Therapy Services; The Caroline School; Camps, Counseling & Case Management; and Adult Services.
