PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - JEANNE CHIANG At June's General Meeting, we concluded our membership drive with the drawing for the vacation cruise. Read the Membership Chairperson's article to fmd out who won. The drive started in January of 2001, and in less than 18 months, we met our goal of 35 new members. These members have brought new energy, ideas and resources to the club. They have worked on all of Wa Sung's projects from the inaugural at the start of the year to Santa's visits in December. We all appreciate that these new members have selected to join the Wa Sung Community Service Club since there are many other organiza tions who also want to increase membership. We are grateful for the efforts they have made on behalf of Wa Sung because we know that members also have commitments to work, family and other activities. Lastly, we value them as additions to the Wa Sung Community, and as contributors to the betterment of the larger community. MEMBERS OF THE MONTH In keeping with the theme of membership, this month I want to recognize those members who earned 100 points or more by p ar tiCipating in the memb ership drive and S.E.R.V.E. programs this past eighteen months. Just as Wa Sung encourages people to serve their community in many ways and according to their inclinations, these members earned their points in different ways. Some members sold advertising in our directory. Others partidpated in one or more committees, and others brought in a large number of new members. Wa Sung is not a "one size fits all" type of organization, and the members' contributions demonstrate that. The following members of the month all earned 100 or more points: Karen Dea Harry Greer Barbara Hing Ron Ring Audrey Huie Kathy Jeong Doris Lum Lucy Meyer Bill Sakakura Loretta Liu t
