When extracting hazardous dust such as Aluminium, or Titanium, the HSE

recommends that a wet collector is the safe option to mitigate fire or explosion

risks. Our Nonflam units conform to the requirements of the Aluminium

Federation recommendations in the UK. The Nonflam range also has a standard

option of enhanced control feature for safely extracting hazardous Magnesium

dust.

Even when extracting non-hazardous dust such as ferrous steels from a process

generating sparks, we would recommend a wet collector to mitigate the risk of a

fire in the filter unit itself.

The units have doors at the front for access, and inlet spigots at the rear for

connection to a ductwork system. Discharge of cleaned air is from the top of the

units and an optional discharge spigot can be selected for a discharge duct/

stack to connect to.

Internally, the units have efficient spray inducers and internal parts are now

manufactured from stainless steel for longevity. They also feature high efficiency

eliminators, reducing the risk of water droplet carry over.

All versions of the Nonflam units are available in either, painted mild steel, 304L

stainless steel for corrosion resistance, or 316L stainless steel construction for

the food industry or coastal locations. The W80 unit is also available with GRP

body. The units can be safely located outdoors with the option of our weather

protection package.

As a wet collector does not have material bag filters which can block up, it will

maintain 100% of its cleaning action for the lifetime of the unit.
