Cotton is a natural fibre that is rounded in shape, meaning some particles are left behind. Microfibre is a man-made fibre that is wedge shaped allowing the capture of ALL dust particles.

Introduction to Microfibre Cleaning Technology

Microfibre is a water-based cleaning solution that was invented and developed in Sweden in the 1990’s. Through our partnership with Swedish manufacturers, MCT can provide a full range of high-quality microfibre cleaning products that will provide you with a total cleaning solution.

Cleaning is a hard job, there is no mistaking that! However, it is a job that can be done more quickly, more thoroughly and safely by applying the latest technology. MCT represents the latest advance in applying microfibre to the needs of the cleaning industry.

All microfibre products are a blend of polyester and polyamide microfibres. The polyester scrubs and cleans the surface and the polyamide provides the absorbent quality. Each microfibre that is bonded together in the weave of the fabric is approximately 100 times finer than a human hair. By applying surface friction, particles of dust and dirt are attracted to and trapped by the individual microfibres.Technological advancement was a trademark of the twentieth century. Whilst we moved from the horse and buggy to cars that travel 200km/hr, the cleaning industry missed out on the

revolution. Microfibre cleaning represents the greatest technological advance in cleaning since the vacuum cleaner took the market by storm in the 1920’s.

MCT Products – Instructions for Use

• In general, Microfibre cleaning products are to be used dry for dust and damp for dirt.

• When using MCT cloths and mop damp, DO NOT use too much water. When the fibres in the cloth are saturated they are no longer able to attract dirt and dust particles and will tend to leave watery streaks on the surface.

• A spray bottle is the most effective means of applying water. For more difficult to remove stains and spots spray a little water on the stain as well as a little in the cloth.
