W-Planning plug is a plug-in based on MapInfo development for WCDMA / GSM network settings

check and optimization. The advantage is intuitive and easy to operate. The main functions are:

• NodeB / BTS base station information of the map;

• in accordance with the cell number, fuzzy station name searches for a cell;

• GSM frequency planning WCDMA scrambling code planning;

In accordance with the BSC (RNC) / the LAC simulation boundaries geo-;

• cell simulation coverage;

• 2/3G neighbor cell optimization;

• check and graphical way adjacent areas;

1.1 data produced parts

This section describes the production of the raw data of the CSV tabular Note

Description: base station attributes please use the above named method, otherwise it will cause a

read error, user can add other attributes column, the column can alphabetical order.

Users can also extend a series of properties for base station identification, such as the configuration

of the routing area, antenna height, auxiliary carrier frequency, down tilt, coverage, business offices,

timeshare partition information, the column name and content of these attributes can customize

Exmple:

BSCName P t_Bsc512

s_network 2G

1.1.2.1 Importing participated

Create Map With GSM_Site, select the menu Run screen as follows:

Similarly select Create Map With WCDMA_Site, Import Neighbor two were introduced into, WCDMA,

and o-zone data

1.1.3 Data updates

Planning data often change, the frequency and scrambling code needs to be updated according to

the current network operation. Update data method is relatively simple.

The 1.1.3.1 update existing district participated

Use the the mapinfo own tools info_tool, click the object you want to modify modify cell data

(Figure 1.1.3.1) shown directly modify => Save To refresh a layer, latitude and longitude changes, you

can select the cell has changed after Figure 1.1.3.2 Refresh Data menu) Note must LAC_CI, LAC, CI, fill

in the correct data in the update position

1.1.3.2 new base stations

Simple way to change the layer is programmable, then copy an existing base station, drag the

newly added cell layer, after modifying the information, select Refresh, add the site can be

completed

1.2 Basic functions

Introduction to shortcut buttons

(1) Open the Layer

(2) cell search

(3) GSM frequency planning (on a frequency)

(4) GSM frequency planning (next frequency point)

(5) WCDMA scrambling code planning (on a scrambling code)

(6) WCDMA (a scrambling code), scrambling code planning

(7) adjacent areas lookup (forward lookup)

(8) adjacent areas Find (reverse lookup)

(9) BSC / RNC of geographic boundaries

(10) LAC geography of boundaries

(12) Export Google Kml file

(13) Refresh Layer

1.2.1 Open table command description:

In menu bar "open work table ..." command, or click on the button (below the toolbar (red). Executethis command in the specified folder open Mapinfo Table. Course can also open the Open menu in

Mapinfo Table corresponding form, based on the need to select the appropriate form

Note: To open the form must be in the same directory

1.2.2 cell search

Selected as shown above, to find

Select the network you want to find, search input cell number, cell name, exact match, the center

display, and displays the corresponding Messagel, as shown below (Find Hushi Town -1 cell)

1.2.3 Planning Tools

1.2.3.1 GSM frequency planning application:

The 12 cell carrier configuration tool queries using red, blue, and green shows the BCCH frequencyplanning TCH1 to TCH12. Related command has

"Find frequency"

"Find previous frequency"

"Find next frequency"

Query effect as follows. And the tool also provides a shortcut button (uppercase state P under a

frequency / N frequency)

1.2.3.2 WCDMA scrambling code planning applications:

Tools can be query 1-512 scrambling code, use of red, blue, green the three displays PSC planning

situation, you can choose the way scrambling code planning +1 +8 both the presentation. Relatedcommand has

"Find psc"

"Find previous psc"

"Find next psc"

Query as shown below

Tools 1.2.4 neighboring cells:

Tools main menu neighboring cells as shown below, the main function of the whole network

neighbor data analysis, forward and reverse neighbor cell relations to query and display;

unidirectional the adjacent areas queries (2/3G)

The 1.2.4.1 database analysis:

"Find Single Way neighbor"

Analysis of the whole network of one-way neighbor. The analysis relates only to Neighbor data table.Neighbor data necessary for the columns included in the data related to the source cell, the data of

the target cell, as follows:

The source cell Data: bscname, s_network s_lac s_cellid

Target cell data: d_network, d_lac, d_cellid

Global labeling: direction

Page 13: W Planning1

The operator interface is as follows:

(1) Export Single Direction_neighbor.csv export one-way adjacent areas statements in C :/

OneWay.csv

(2) Show Single Direction neighbor sub-project is completed, the geo-graphical one-way adjacent

areas, easy and intuitive to reduce excessive inspection process.

1.2.4.2 query and display positive and negative relationship to the adjacent cell

Neighbor cell relations inquiries Mapinfo tools must be used with this tool click on the desired query

cell CELL map, and then choose a command below to complete the normal or reverse neighboring

cells query.

"Displpay Neighbors for a selected cell": used to the forward adjacent cell relationship query and

display (cut out).

"Displpay a cell Neighbors in backward": for reverse neighbor cell relations to query and display (cut

into).

As an alternative way users can also choose Ankuaichajian way to execute commands

(1) GSM neighbor cell Find

The following is a GSM cell forward lookup effect diagram
