i’ve been getting some calls and e-mails from some of our customers

wondering

How To Bleed A Slave Cylinder Without A Bleed Screw. This may seem like it’d be a tough task but if you follow my instructions it’ll be easy.

1. Remove the retaining bands that come with on the slave cylinder. be care-ful not to damage them.

2. Tip the slave cylinder up 45 degrees and fill the hy-draulic port with approved clutch hydraulic fluid until all air has been expelled.

3. With the slave cylinder still tipped up insert the hydraulic tube with a new seal lubricated with clutch fluid into the port of the slave cylinder and insert the retaining pin. be care-ful when driving the pin in as to not break the slave cylinder.

4. make sure the master cylinder cap is removed. Hold slave cylinder be-low the master cylinder vertically with the pushrod facing the ground. slowly

depress the pushrod approximately 1-1.2” (25-30mm) while watch-ing the master cylinder reservoir for bubbles.

Continue to cycle the pushrod until there are no longer air bubbles enter-ing the reservoir. This should take approximate-ly 10-15 cycles.

5. slowly push the push-rod back in and reconnect the two bands that were initially removed.
