Wellbeing Wednesday September 16 th 2020 Digital Detox Day - Try as many activities as you like Read a book! Whether it be for pleasure or for school, reading a book is one of the best things you can do. Age 3-5 Age 6-8 Age 9-12 Plan and prepare a meal for your family. Play board games or card games as a family. e.g. Snakes and Ladders, UNO, Paddocks, 0’s & X’s Create a play , write a movie script, set design, props - be creative as possible. You may have the next Frozen or Toy Story inside your head...set it free! Go for a walk or bike ride - Frankston has many amazing riding trails, boardwalks and nature reserves. Check these out and get peddling! If you have a puzzle at home or if not try these printable puzzles. Printable Puzzles Pot a plant or herb garden Create a campsite in your backyard. Put up a tent, roll-out the sleeping bag and spend a night under the stars! Get into the garden, pull out the weeds and make the garden look amazing with these easy garden hacks Organise and arrange your clothes closet/wardrobe. Mr. Squiggle

Start a squiggle on a piece of paper and

place it on the fridge. During the day, family members take turns to

add a little more squiggle to the picture.

Using objects from your garden make a nature mandala or nature

faces

Do a chalk photo shoot.

Do the magic milk experiment.

Marshmallow Tower

Hold a competition with your family to see who

can build the tallest tower. You may only

use marshmallows and spaghetti. Measure your

towers.

Write down 10 things you are grateful for.

Go outside and find something red, something blue,

something orange and something purple.

Word Detective Choose a letter of the

alphabet and write down as many words as you

can find in books or around the house.

Remember they have to be words you find not

objects.

Go on a photo walk:

Pick a colour or letter of the day and take photos

of things that are that colour or start with that letter. Then put them

together in a collage or video. Try to make a

rainbow or complete the alphabet!

Pack a Picnic

Prepare lunch today for you and your family ready for a picnic at

home! Grab a picnic rug,

blanket or some towels and set up a picnic in

your yard. If the weather is cold or

wet you could set up your picnic inside, on the living room floor, instead!

Create pictures or wrapping paper using

potato stamps

(*Have an adult help you carve your potato)

Make a Tissue Box Monster

Sponge Sail Boats

Create your own sail boats using sponge
