On Monday we designed our own spaceship, thinking about what materials would be best to use for each part. We used the word ‘because’ lots to explain our choices. In RE we recorded everything we had learnt about how Jewish people welcome in Shabbat (the Sabbath). We could name the special objects which you would find on a table at Shabbat, including the Kiddush cup, the candle sticks and holders, the Challah bread and the Challah bread cover. We hope you have a great half term break and we will see you back on Monday 5 th June. learning updates… English In Literacy this week we have continued to look at our alien story. We thought about the structure of the story and labelled which parts are the opening, build up, problem, solution and ending. We have continued to spell our common exception words and started learning to join our writing. Mathematics In Maths this week we have recapped some of the learning from throughout the year. This has included directional language (half turn and quarter turn clockwise/anti- clockwise), arrays, shape and telling the time. We have worked very hard in our Maths this week! Reminders… Back to school- Monday 5 th June. PE day is Wednesday. Please ensure your child has a kit suitable for outdoors.
