School Attributes & Achievements

Our learning platform, aims to develop a deep understanding within all students, taking them beyond simple acquisition of knowledge, to deeper understanding of concepts and ideas.

Offering a safe and comfortable environment with a focus on dimensions of learning, students can take away positive attitudes that will make them effective learners for life.

Student involvement

• The Year 4 Community has embedded their role as ‘caretakers’ for the garden as part of their Inquiry learning. Students have been allotted into ‘Garden Groups’ and have taken on various responsibilities such as sourcing materials, organising fundraisers and investigating environmentally friendly pest control. The students eagerly await the completion of the current landscaping project, so to continue their learning. As part of their exploration of our Catholic Identity and their role as stewards of the earth, the students have made connections from the garden to environmental sustainability as well as our schools carbon footprint. Through the use of our worm farm and compost system students see their actions making a difference to the future of our school and our world.
