Single-Screw Compressors forNatural Gas and Process Applications

Vilter’s line of single-screw compressors offer unique advantages making

them a perfect fit for natural gas and process gas applications. These

compressors have been designed with efficiency and versatility in mind,

providing both performance and maintenance advantages.

The key is in the balanced design. The positive displacement rotary

compressor uses a single main screw intermeshed by two opposing

gaterotors. Gas compression occurs when the individual fingers of

each gaterotor sweep through the grooves of the main screw as the

screw rotates. Fewer moving parts means fewer overhauls resulting in

significant maintenance savings.

The balanced main screw results in ultra-low bearing loads and

significantly decreased vibration and sound levels.

In addition to supplying the bare compressor, you can also count on our

team of engineers to design and manufacture complete packages for the

natural gas and process industries.
